Esri is offering a 1-day ArcGIS Public Health Workshop at 2 locations (Boston and Philadelphia areas) at the end of September (see dates below). This free training event is ideal for personnel who work in the health and human services industry and want to learn more about GIS and the ArcGIS Platform.

Understanding the role of geography is crucial in epidemiology and, more broadly, public health. This one-day workshop provides a hands-on investigation of getting the most from your ArcGIS Platform.

• Web GIS overview – 1 hour

• Hands-on exercises – 3 hours

  • Configure Collector for ArcGIS and Survey123 for ArcGIS to collect safety data in the field;

  • Configure public-facing data discovery app using Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS and the configurable app templates;
  • Configure Crowdsource Reporter solution app to allow constituents the opportunity to report potential issues;
  • Configure a Story Map to provide guidance to decision makers.

• Demonstrate exploring and analyzing data to plan an educational / outreach campaign for the public using Insights for ArcGIS. – 1 hour
