At the GIS Managers Summit at UC, we unveiled a new survey to do a quick assessment of the status of your GIS program, and a dashboard to see how you stand up against your peers.
Hundreds of people are providing their assessment and checking out the dashboard during UC, and you can do the same...
At the GIS Managers Summit, we walked through the Path to Geospatial Excellence framework, and how to use it to evaluate and plan your path forward for your GIS program.
During the summit, over 200 people did a quick assessment of their GIS program using a Survey123, and saw averages on an Esri Dashboard.

Throughout the User Conference, attendees are doing their own assessments and adding to the averages - if you're at UC, you can submit your assessment online and stop by the Geospatial Platform area in the center of Expo through Wednesday and Thursday to see how the dashboard is looking, talk to Esri experts about your GIS program and what you can do based on your assessment.

Not able to be at the User Conference? You can still do your assessment and see the dashboard!
Simply Take the Survey online:
- Select your industry
- Select all or some of the pillars and key considerations of the Path to Geospatial Excellence Framework, that you want to assess your GIS program on
- Submit, and you will be taken to the dashboard
- In the dashboard, you will see averages from all submissions, and you can filter by industry

All data is anonymous, and the more submissions the better the data for averages, so share with your colleagues and peers, and be sure to check the dashboard regularly.
