Hi!
Are the similarities between the ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise just Web maps, Web apps, Scenes, Analytic tools, layers and user interface and user experiences? Are not both the Esri Software products? Should the ArcGIS Online users apply for the job which requires ArcGIS Enterprise work experiences?
Best,
Fafiez

I think this article will be helpful to you:
To your last question: it really depends on the role you're applying for. If it's just a technician / analyst sort of role, mention of AGOL or Enterprise probably just means being able to use the web interface for editing, creating and sharing maps, etc. I would expect the two to be interchangeable for the most part.
For other positions, especially more administrator-level things, you're going to see more divergence. Managing users, groups, logins, etc. in AGOL is pretty similar to Enterprise, but a lot of maintenance, storage, system health, etc., you won't even get to see in AGOL.
