This role provides implementation support and services for clients that have purchased Schneider SaaS, Desktop, or custom solutions.  This is a technical position that requires a strong technical background and aptitude, as well as a continual need for reeducation, especially in the Schneider application and partner (ESRI, Trimble, etc.) environments.

Our focus is on creating innovative geospatial (GIS) and information driven web portal technology solutions for government and private clients.  We work collaboratively in small teams and independently on smaller projects. Most importantly we are committed to great customer service to our clients, and providing solutions that are of significant value to their organizations.

Must have a good understanding of relational databases, SQL, data types, and database connectivity.  Must have a good understanding of GIS technology. A strong desire to stay abreast of technology and techniques is a must. This position will also be required to understand basic data ETL concepts and techniques for a variety of RDBMS platforms. Also, this position will assist with the development of documentation, and may assist with internal and external technical support for users with a variety of computer knowledge levels, and application testing.

This position reports to the Director of Implementation. This position will include high client contact and occasional travel to client sites.


Essential Position Duties:

  • Coordinating with clients to research and understand their hardware and software environments, as well internal procedures related to the solution(s) being implemented.
  • Assist with setting and managing client expectations related to the solution(s) being implemented.
  • Assist with client communication to ensure a successful implementation.
  • Remote and/or on-site installation, configuration, and testing of the solution(s) being implemented.
  • Remote and/or on-site client training on the solution(s) being implemented; training may be either (or a combination of) feature and function training, procedural training, coaching; both formal and informal.
  • Development of documentation and other reference materials to be used for implementation, training, and support.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Familiarity with enterprise RDBMS, SQL
  • Experience with Windows OS, file directory and network navigation, basic OS admin tasks
  • Working knowledge of GIS technologies, ESRI's ArcGIS platform
  • Strong work ethic and proactive approach
  • Desire to work in small teams with an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Ability to verbally communicate clearly with client over the phone in the English language
  • Good communication, enunciation and grammar skills (in the English language) are highly important.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    Willingness to learn new skills
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to be covered by the company’s insurance is required.

Education / Experience:

At least 1 year of demonstrated GIS or related experience. Familiarity with local government is preferred.

BS in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, etc. or three to four years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
