We seeking to fill an experienced team of GIS Technician to support electric utility GIS operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, editing, and updating electric network data within the ESRI platform, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
This is a remote, contract-based position requiring strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a distributed technical team.
The selected candidate must be available to work core hours aligned with the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience working in GIS for an electric distribution utility.
Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcMap.
Experience with ArcFM or ArcGIS Utility Network (UN).
Familiarity with entering and processing work orders using GIS and work order management systems.
Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a production environment.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week remotely using your own computer and reliable internet connection.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to work during core business hours in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
