Just started writing geoprocessing scripts in ArcPy a few weeks ago.  I??ve already discovered bugs in 2 of the new map document properties in 10.0.  Once ESRI declares these as known bugs it would be so useful if they referred to the bugs right there in the online help so that other users don??t waste time trying to get something to work that is broken out of the box.  With online documentation ESRI has the ability to keep us informed so that we don??t waste our time and theirs.

This has been a pet peeve of mine going back to 9.0.  The gp.XYDomain property did not work in 9.0 and 9.1.  It was never addressed in any of the service packs.  I wasted so much time on it but wouldn??t have if the online help had simply been updated mention that it didn??t work.  How hard would that have been?

I've posted this as a suggestion on ESRI's Ideas section if anyone would like to vote for it

you may want to tri-list it as a support for a "Tip" at

aka "don't waste your time doing this....because it doesn't work" would be useful until as you said, the online help is updated and/or a fix is in place
