Hi all,
I have my shape files for the sign structures with the projected coordinate system WGS_1984_UTM_zone _17N and the other files with the geographic coordinate system GCS_WGS_1984. So I am wondering how I can do the transformation from the projected coordinate system to the geographic coordinate system.
Thank you very much for your help.

Try Project tool (Data Management tools > Projections and Transformations toolset > Feature > Project)

My issue is that when I am prompted that the layer I am going to put in has a different geo. coordinate system than the one I am currently using in my data frame.  I click the transformation button and select the GCS_North_American_1927 in the "convert from" and then put my North_American_Datum_1983 in the "into" box.  What do I put in the "using" box?

@jskaw2011
One of the transformations from the drop-down list should work. To better understand the whole process (which transformation to select) please consult this topic and various topics linked in the topic.

Also, for a list of transformations and their area of use, see the following knowledge base article 21327:

Thank you very much for your posts. The real problem was that the coordinate system was wrong. It was NAD_1983_UTM_Zone_17N instead of  GCS_WGS_1984. So I corrected the coordinate system and the projection worked properly. Thank you again :)
