I have a point data set which represents structures with an attribute that describes the structures (residential, commercial....). I also have a parcel polygon dataset. I want to figure out which polygons have residential buildings or commercial buildings in them. What tool do I need?!
I do not necissarily have a one to one relationship between points and polygons... that might be the next issue I need to deal with.
I believe the Spatial Join tool should be able to accomplish this task for you. It will depend on how you want this information output to you, however.
