Merge Subdivisions Into One Polygon with Like Name.

I have a subdivision polygon layer which has over thousand subdivision polygons.  I would like to merge the subdivisions with like first name together into one polygon.

Example:   349 Ranch EST 1  Merge these separate  polygon subdivisions into one polygon with name of 349 Ranch EST.
               349 Ranch EST 2
               349 Ranch EST 3

Add a new field to hold the name that you want the merged features to have (eg. 349 Ranch EST) and then run a dissolve based on that field.
