I've just started a new job. The company I work for has an ArcInfo license of Arc10.0. I have been working to clean up some of their maps and have found that not all of the geoprocessing tools are available. When I click on Geoprocessing menu I have the choice of: buffer, clip, intersect, union, merge, and dissolve. Similarly when I try to open the tool box window the entire box in empty.
I have looked for a specific tool in "Search for Tools". The list come up but when I click on the tool the computer just sits there and runs with no result. The tool does not open.
Is this an installation problem or something else? I've attached a screen shot.
