Hello, I apologize for not being better at searching because I'm quite sure this issue has come up before.
When exporting features of a .dxf within ArcCatalog to a .gdb, for example polylines, is it possible export only those that are in a certain layer? Better yet, could I base my criteria on layer and minimum length of the object?
Or do I need to do this on the layer level of the object (Is it possible), I'm so confused by the difference of making this a layer or a shapefile or geodatabase when exporting this item.

Found the Select(Analysis) tool. It does the job. Now I just need to combine it with the feature class to feature class in the arcpy
