Arcgis very slow

Hello!

Does anyone know how I can speed up the process Join Space ?. On my machine it has taken too long.

This is my setup

i5 3.0 GHz

8GB RAM

The trouble is that some of the spatial locations are in the water and not on land...nothing is going to fix that except to use a different partitioning space, then associate proximity to country after that

Also turn off background processing.

The open when Arcgis uses only 30% of the processor, I changed the process for priority in real time. This did not show much difference.

As for RAM, ArcGIS uses very little. Google Chrome uses a lot more.

Do you think it would be very bad open the ArcGIS three times to run different tasks? So I speed work.
