I’ve used “Calculate Geometry” and “Add XY coordinate” to calculate the XY coordinates, but when adding a new point, both the X and Y fields are empty for the new point.

I am looking for a way to calculate the XY coordinates automatically when adding a new point.

Thank you in advance.

You could set a script to populate XY fields every day or night.

Thank you Dan, As I mentioned in my first post, I used "calculate Geometry" to calculate the X, Y Coordinates, but when adding new point the coordinate fields are empty!! this is my main point, I want these fields to be fill automatically.

Hi majdoleen,

You can host your data in SQL server (mdf) then you can write SQL trigger to calculate X,Y values, this trigger will run automatically when you update your data.

Majdoleen,

The same can be done with Oracle as well if you prefer to use it.
