Hi,

how can I create identical copy of my sde Dataset? I need to use it as a test version.

it contains feature classes, relationship and much more.

Thanks

If you need it in the same geodatabase just Copy/Paste the feature dataset. It will append the <name>_1 to each of the layers copied.

Hello @George Thompson,

thanks for your reply.

And if I do want it as an extra sde dataset? not in the same geodatabase?

You can also use copy/paste for that.

Note: the permissions, versioning information (delta tables) will NOT be copied over via that process. I am not aware of a way to copy all that with our tools.

Hello,

thanks again. But I need to have created "empty" sde to copy/paste all things inside? Or I do select all elements, copy them and paste... where?

Sorry for questions but I am quite new in it.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, you would need an empty enterprise geodatabase (formally known as "sde"), then select all the features/tables/feature datasets/etc, then copy/paste into the empty enterprise geodatabase from above.

Hi,

thanks a lot! Now "only" create a new sde geodatabase 🙂
