Hi YPN community! 👋

I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Geospatial Analytics at North Carolina A&T State University, where I focus on integrating remote sensing, LiDAR, and machine learning to assess the impacts of storm surges on wetland ecosystems. My academic journey has taken me from Geomatic Engineering in Ghana, to a master’s in Urban Forestry and Natural Resources in Louisiana, and now to the cutting edge of GeoAI and climate research in North Carolina.

At the RS & Geospatial Lab, I work on a NASA and NOAA-funded project developing deep learning models to classify wetland types and predict flood-induced inundation patterns using UAV, SAR, optical, and LiDAR data. Previously, I interned with NASA DEVELOP, modeling wetland risk zones on Hawai’i Island and producing short-term flood risk maps using the Wetland Intrinsic Potential Tool.

🛠️ My skill set spans:

  • Python, R, SQL | ArcGIS Suite, QGIS, ENVI

  • Machine Learning | GeoAI | Google Earth Engine

  • Remote Sensing | Flood and Wetland Modeling

  • Strong technical writing & science communication

🚀 Recent Projects:

  • [Wetland Classification with GeoAI]

  • [NASA DEVELOP: Hawaii Island Climate Risk]

  • [Urban Heat Island Mapping]

  • [Flood & Drought Analysis]

I’m passionate about fusing science and storytelling—whether through ArcGIS StoryMaps, environmental dashboards, or AI-powered spatial modeling—to communicate insights that drive resilience and sustainable development.
