Sudan is currently facing severe humanitarian challenges due to the ongoing war. These challenges are further complicated by the country’s diverse terrain and the presence of landmines in several areas. Recently, a landslide in the Jebel Marra region of western Sudan highlighted the vulnerability of local communities to geological hazards. In such a complex environment, there is a growing need to leverage spatial technologies to support humanitarian response efforts and improve the safety and efficiency of aid delivery.
