Entering into a new territory with ArcGIS Pro and I want your thoughts and opinions!

Question

Hi there all! I have been with my current company for over a year and we use ArcGIS for many different companies and currently making the switch to ArcGIS Pro for a particular client. With trying to stay ahead of the curve, I sought out YPN Esri as a tool to better acquaint myself with the program and others that would be able to help troubleshoot and issues with the Pro version.

In my search of advancement, I was really hoping to hear others thoughts and opinions on ArcGIS Pro and how growing your knowledge on it has helped you become an industry leader within your own company/business.

Hi there,

I have only used ArcMap for a short while, but I find that ArcGIS Pro is much better performance wise and capability wise. I like that everything is all in one application. Like anything, it gets better with everyday use. Best of luck!

I made the switch from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro pretty early in my career so I never got too used to ArcMap. Once you can start to get used to Pro and where everything is I find it much easier to use. I also see improved performance, and like that all my layouts/maps can live in one APRX if they are all related to each other. Just keep watching videos if you get stuck or post a question here. The transition will be worth it!
