If you’ve participated in a class, a massive open online course (MOOC), or e-Learning this year, we hope you’ve been able to apply your new knowledge and achieved the results you need from ArcGIS. The resources below can help you lock in more learning before 2024 ends or get a head start on 2025 projects.

Python 101 for ArcGIS
Have you been curious about Python but find code mysterious or even a tiny bit scary? Our next no-cost live training seminar is for you.
Entertaining experts will explain the building blocks common to many programming languages, show how to add logic, and demonstrate assembling everything into a reusable Python script that automates an ArcGIS task. If you have some Python experience, you will likely learn a few useful tips too.
Two sessions are available at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (Pacific time).
Ringing in a New Year with MOOCs
We’re kicking off 2025 with two popular MOOCs. These no-cost courses provide a fun way to gain experience with ArcGIS software, learn from experts, and connect with peers from around the world. And you will earn a certificate for completing each course (which makes a great addition to your LinkedIn profile).
A friendly introduction for those new to GIS and a valuable refresher for experienced professionals, this course teaches authentic spatial analysis workflows using the latest ArcGIS Online tools.

Earning an Esri technical certification helps you validate your skills, boost your career, and get recognized as an expert. If you’d like to grow professionally in the new year, two new ArcGIS Pro exams will be released in January 2025 (but you can start preparing now).
Find the exam that’s right for you based on your years of applied ArcGIS Pro experience:
- 2–4 years: ArcGIS Pro Associate 2025
- 4 or more years: ArcGIS Pro Professional 2025
