Don't forget about the great opportunity to submit a map of your best work for consideration in the ESRIUC Map Gallery

Who can submit:

Map Gallery entries must showcase projects that used Esri software and can be submitted by anyone who attends the Esri UC.

How it works:

  • Take visitors on a journey through your project to highlight the maps, cartographic details, analysis, research, and applications used
  • Review the categories and requirements to determine which category is right for your map submission
  • The top three entries in each category will be recognized during the Esri User Conference (Esri UC) Closing Session, and first-place winners will receive an award
  • The deadline to submit your map is Thursday, June 1
  • All participants can provide a publicly available video (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo) with each map submission

New this year:
A high-resolution map image or video (fly-through or scroll through content) can be submitted for the interactive Map Gallery.

There's a number of categories available to select from including: 3D visualization, dashboard, map series, student maps, thematic, best cartography

More info and application is available at https://www.esri.com/en-us/about/events/uc/get-involved/call-for-maps

Plenary Session Submissions

In addition to submitting to the map gallery, UC attendees are encouraged to submit their images for potential use by Jack Dangermond in the plenary session!

Submit up to three images of your best work. All images will be reviewed personally by Jack Dangermond. Images selected by Dangermond that are shown during the Plenary Session will receive a certificate via email in September. Submissions should tell inspiring stories that illustrate how you are using Esri GIS technology to positively impact your communities and/or industries.

Areas of interest this year include maps that do the following:

  • Help people make decisions
  • Support situational awareness and collaboration
  • Help people understand a complex topic or tell a story
  • Show the use of imagery analytics
  • Demonstrate the use of spatial analysis, modeling, and science
