why are the satellite images so old. Is there a service that can provide snaps of an area every 2-3 days ?

As well how do I know when was the image seen on esri taken ? seems pretty old though.

Image date: simply use the info tool on the image to get the date information. Be aware that different tiles may have different dates.

For imagery that is taken on a frequent basis, you would probably need to look into sattelite imagery, and I do not know if the resolution would meet your needs.

If you need infrequent images, terraserver may meet your needs, although you will need to pay a nominal fee to search and view imagery, and a fee to acquire it.

Regards,

Jim
