Have you seen this "maybe bug" after upgrading ArcGIS Pro 2.5?

Our gas Utility Network have been working great since in production, about a year ago. Not long ago I upgrade our network to 10.7.1 and ArcGIS Pro 2.4.3. Everything works perfectly fine until recently.

I upgraded my ArcGIS Pro to 2.5

My Gas Utility Network is still 10.7.2, Portal & Server.

I needed to do some configuration on my Utility Network, so I ran Disable Network Topology tool. I got the error as shown below.

I rolled back to ArcPro 2.4.3 and run the same tool, everything works fine.

I suspect this could be a bug.

Have you seen/experienced this situation?

Is Pro 2.5 supposed to work with Utility Network 10.8 and not 10.7.x?

Let me know what you think?

Thanks,

Hi Hung

Pro 2.5 for the UN will be fully supported on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.

I my experience the combination of Pro 2.4.3 with the corresponding untools package working against 10.7.1 is pretty rock solid. So I'd proceed with caution if you decide to upgrade Pro and do "admin" type activities on your Utility Network.  Make sure you're able to test these workflows against your DEV or UAT environment first.

Hi Aaron,

Yes, I tested with my DEV environment and got that error.

Our PROD Utility Network has been working great with Arc Enterprise 10.7.x & Pro 2.4.x.

Do you happen to know when ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8 is released?

Thanks Aaron,

Hi again Hung.

ArcGIS 10.8 is out now and available for download.

You should stick to the supported version combinations of ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise: System requirements—Get Started | ArcGIS Solutions for Electric

So if you aren't upgrading your Enterprise to 10.8 just yet, stick to using Pro 2.4.x

Regards

Aaron.
