cartographic representation for devices in electric network

Hi all,

I have never used representations before but I need to symbolize my electric devices with a device leader line and pull them off of the electric line. Usually I break the geometric network and draw in a polyline feature class line called "device leader" and move the point to the end of my device leader line. I'm attaching a screen shot. I would rather not break the geometric network just for cartographic purposes.

Has anyone used representations to do something like this? I'm not sure it will do what I need. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

A

We use a connection wire and representation at the end for the Secondary side of Transformers.  It looks like this:

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem, but can't you use annotation with leaders and customize as needed?
