Hi all,

I have an issue with the create geometry feature of Data Pipelines.

The lat/lon information in WGS84 decimal degree and is included in the dataset. I just choose geometry type POINT, XYZ format, mapping lon/lat to X/Y and that's all. However when previewing the dataset it shows all points in the ocean near Africa.

I found the following post and got to know that ArcGIS by default does not assume the input is decimal degree.
https://community.esri.com/t5/data-management-questions/why-are-all-points-displaying-in-the-ocean-n...

Question: what Spatial reference parameter should I select from the available list provided by Data Pipelines, so that the points are diplayed correctly? I have tried the following spatial references, but the preview map always shows the points in the ocean near Africa.

- WGS 1984 World Mercator

- WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)

Try setting the SRID to 4326. The coordinates are being plotted as meters.
I will try to post a screenshot shortly.

Thank you. Input 4326 in the search box and got the spatial reference "WGS 1984".
