Unable to Synchronize Replica

Hello,
I get the message "Synchronize replica failed. Network I/O error. FDO error -2147216117. State ID"" when i try to synchronize a Replica to the Main DB. I tried to synchronize from ArcMap and ArcCatalog
and it failed. I also tried to maintenance and repair the Main DB but nothing changed. My ArcMap version is 9.3.1.

I've never ran into your specific error, but whenever I get an error dealing with "State ID" - I compress the geodatabase immediately.

Not sure if that will solve the issue, but that's what I do.
