Hi all
We are having issues with loading several jp2s created in Erdas Imagine into ArcMap. The jp2s we tried to add are between 778MB and 17GB in size. When we loaded up to 5 they loaded alright but when trying to add another one we got the error message 'Invalid raster dataset. Failed to create raster layer.'
After increasing the virtual memory of the computer running ArcMap we managed to add one more jp2 layer. This made us think that this must be some kind of a memory problem. However, when we loaded the jp2s in ArcMap on another computer which has an Erdas ecw plugin installed the jp2s got added alright. We are not sure what this plugin does that allows the jp2s to load alright.
If anybody knows a solution without the plugin that would be great to know.
