I am having an issue in trying to add tables of information downloaded through the Web Soil Survey (SSURGO Data) to ArcMap 9.3.1.  The data contains many tables that are downloaded as .txt files.  I am having trouble putting this data in a usable format so that I can link it to the soil polygons present in the main polygon data set.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated, I have tried everything that I can think of at this point!

Go to this site (http://soildatamart.nrcs.usda.gov/Templates.aspx) and download the MS-Access database template "soildb_US_2002".  This template has a nifty macro that imports the pipe-delimited txt files and then you can tap the Access database tables from ArcMap.

You might look at the Soil Data Viewer.

Depending on what SSURGO fields you need you may be able to use the soil layers available through the Landscape Layers group in ArcGIS.com.
