I have several SDF files for a municipality ranging from utilities, transportation, parcel data etc. I am wanting to import this data into existing feature class models in order to have consistent data standards, and have made sure the coordinate systems match for the SDF files and the feature classes I am trying to import them into. I am wondering the best way to go about this? I have converted the SDF files into SHP files previously and they did project correctly and retained much of the metadata, but portions of some of the data was either lost or corrupted it seems. As the data I am importing has a different standardization than the feature classes I am trying to import them into, I am just looking for any tips to ensure that this is feasible to do, or should I explore other options for completing this?
