Error Opening feature Class - Unable to create object class extension COM component

Hi

I am having 64 bit Oracle 11g R2 database server in Windows Server 2008 R2 operating System. As well as a another Application Server where Oracle Client 11g R2 64 bit, ArcSDE 10.1, ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 & ArcFM 10.1.1 has been installed.

I have imported dump data in oracle using impdp successfully then enable Enterprise Geodatabase using Database Management toolbox.

I am getting error while opening feature class from ArcCatalog / ArcMap,

Error opening feature class
Unable to create object class extension COM component
[UserName.FeatureClassName]

As per my observation this error is coming in only linear feature class. Rest other feature classes are working fine.
Please suggest.

Hi,

you need to install ArcFM extension for your ArcGIS Desktop software.

This will allow you to open any feature classes that requires COM objects.
