I'm trying to create a mosaic dataset.  Things run smoothly, but the raster cells displayed once imported all have a value of 1.17549e-038, resulting in a nice grey sheet of color that hardly resembles the original rasters I began with.

I've included a few images to help elucidate what's happening.

Has this happened to others?  If so, were you able to fix it, and how?

Best,
Jacques

Jacques,

It looks like your source data is missing statistics, and probably the mosaic dataset as well.  When running Add Rasters to Mosaic Dataset there is an optional parameter to build raster statistics.  You should try that the next load.  If you don't want to recreate the mosaic dataset you can go build statistics on all the source data using Batch Calculate Statistics, then follow that up with building statistics on the mosaic dataset.

Eric

Greetings,

Did you do a define overview without building it? When overviews have been defined and not built you can sometimes see gray.
