Create new Geodatabase w/ Education Edition

Hello,
I have installed ArcGIS 10 Education Edition.  When I attempt to create a new geodatabase on my SQL Server Express instance through catalog I get an error about ArcSDE not being licensed.  Any ideas on why this is occuring would be appreciated.
