Can't delete raster in 9.3.1 file geodatabase.

Hi all,

I was loading a geotiff into a 9.3.1 geodatabase and I lost network connectivity.  The raster name appears in the geodatabase but it will not display and more importantly won't delete.  I have tried deleting it with both ArcCatalog 9.3.1 and 10 sp1. Is there any other way to get rid of it using file explorer or other means?

Hi Gabe,

Try overwriting the raster dataset using the Copy Raster tool.  For example, take a small raster and execute the Copy Raster tool.  Specify the output to be the raster dataset that failed to load within the File Geodatabase.  After it's copied, go ahead and delete the raster dataset within the File Geodatabase.
