My thumbnail does not appear when shared via Facebook.

My thumbnail does not appear when shared via Facebook even though I have it uploaded in My Stories (size = 286 x 190px).  I've checked the Facebook Developer Debug tool as well (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ ) and although there are some warning (see below and attached), I see the thumbnail appearing and referenced correctly (I think).

It mentions a fix for a different facebook issue (so that's why I'm not sure if this fix would fix what you are seeing).

   Thanks so much for the reply.  I looked at that post, but it doesn't seem to be the same issue.  Other than the thumbnail not displaying, the Facebook button appears to be working just fine.  Thanks again.

Hi Katie,

Looks like you were viewing your info in the Facebook developer tool using the "Show existing scrape information" button. Did you try the "Fetch new scrape information" button in that Facebook developer tool?

That usually forces Facebook to refresh its cache of your thumbnail by fetching the current one from ArcGIS Online. Let me know if that works.

Yes, I'v rescraped many times, have tried a variety of different photo formats (gif, png and jpg) to no avail.  I've even changed the file size and dimensions.  Again, no luck.  I have noticed that the facebook Open Graph properties always displays TWO thumbnails.  I'm not sure if it should be doing that and if that's a clue to what is going on...?

I am having this same issue. I am using the Map Journal option. I have used the Facebook developer tool mentioned and fetched a new scrape multiple times, with no luck. All of the open graph tags are showing the info they should, but the share never includes the thumbnail image. This is happening when I use the share options from the My Stories page, or when I copy and past the organization link into Facebook.

I have downloaded the template for the Map Journal and have it hosted on my server. When I share that link, the thumbnail does pull in, but I don't know if that is because I have added the direct link to the photo on Flickr or not.

Any ideas how to solve this problem when sharing from My Stories?
