I am new to this level of GIS, but I want to take the map storytelling to another level.  I want to have users be able to click on a point, drop a pin, and fill out information via a pop up associated with the pin location.  On the back end, I need to be able to compile that data.  This is for a non profit collaborative forest plan, I want community members to be able to seek out areas on the map and provide input on specific locations.  I am not even sure of the terminology I need to be using to find out how to do this.  There is an example of what I am looking for:

This look very close to what the GeoForm template allows you to do: https://github.com/Esri/geoform-template-jsThe GeoForm Graduates | ArcGIS Blog https://github.com/Esri/geoform-template-js

More 'crowdsourcing' template are in the works for next release, stay tuned!

There is no StoryMaps template that support crowdsourcing yet, we have been working on that application Show Us the Holiday Decorations in Your Neighborhood but it's not distributed yet.

If you have questions about GeoForm or crodsourcing, you will have more luck in the ArcGIS Online space ArcGIS Online
