Hi All,

I am trying to setup my legend of a map document and as you can see from the below screen grabs the symbol ends (black arrow heads) in the legend make it impossible to see what color the underlying line is.

Can I edit the length of the lines that appear in the legend??

Cheers

Needs to look more like this:

Not like this:

You can set the patch width for that line legend item, that will increase the length of the line shown. You could also experiment with the line shape the legend uses to see if that helps.

I had never noticed this option, but its exactly what I was looking for.

The Default Patch option was what I needed, i simply edited the width to suit and it was good as gold.

Cheers

Hi Ben,

Try the following workflow. In Layer properties > Symbology, select the line features and Right-click (Properties of selected symbols).

Hope it helps!!!

Thanks,

Jay

Have you considered changing the arrow colors to match up with the line colors?
