Another great story from Denver International Airport. (See a recent post on DEN in this community site).
Three things resonate with me on this blog post.
- CAD and BIM were powerful data sources but lack the context and capabilities from a GIS.
- GIS benefits could be tied to the organization’s vision and goals for the future incl. Vision 100 and Operation 2045
- Bringing the BIM data into ArcGIS and ArcGIS Indoors was an incredibly fast and a powerful means for showing leadership what “could be” across their immense airport campus- inside and out.
Hats off to Chelsea at DEN and the team of teams at HNTB, who continue to support many of our airports with geospatial excellence in their ArcGIS implementations.
