Does anyone know if the Trimble series 6000 GeoXH unit is compatible with ArcPad 7.1.1? I installed 7.1.1 and the fonts are not appearing correctly (way too small and unevenly spaced). Also the icons don't act predictably. I asked our Trimble reseller about this and he wasn't sure if it was compatible. Couldn't find anything about compatibility with ArcPad on the Trimble website. I am also running GPS Correct v 3.0 and have discovered I need to either upgrade that to 3.2, which is ONLY compatible with ArcPad 10, or else remove it completely which I have done.  I don't want to upgrade to ArcPad 10 unless I have to.  Thanks for any advice!

Older versions of ArcPad are engineered to perform optimally with older hardware devices and vice-versa, so yes, ArcPad 7 doesn't look great on a device running Windows 6.5. But, even though there are some compatibility issues between versions of Windows Mobile - ArcPad is completely backwards compatible!!

If your project works in ArcPad 7 - it will also work in ArcPad 10. Use the free 20 min trial download of ArcPad 10 to try it out...

Elizabeth, No 7 is not compatible, you need to be running 10. It??s a Windows Mobile thing. You also mentioned GPScorrect another piece of software you will need to upgrade if you are not running 3.2 or later. Check out page 62 of the user manual. It can get confusing, I know! This document should also help, the bible of compatibility for Trimble products:
