Hi everyone,
I add the picture page to my .apl file but I can't find where are defined the functions (field text box, orientation, icon for the camera...). I find a thread where someone was talking about xml functionality <PICTUREPAGE> and <PICTUREFIELD> but I didn't find where this are stored as default(not in my apl fiel for sure!). Is it possible to change them or I have to accept passively settings?

Hey there.

Have you tried installing image fields on an ArcPad form instead of using the "Picture" page?

If you install image fields on a form and set the attribute of your image fields to your "picture link" field in your attribute table, then you can activate the camera simply by clicking on the field.

On checking out, you can then check the "Keep paths of existing files" box, and wherever you set your destination field to in Arc the pictures will be copied over and your links will be changed to reflect that on check in.

Does this help at all?

Hi Brooks thanks for your reply!
Yours seems to be a good idea, but, because i'm not so good in arcpad, I can't figured out what you mean for "installing image fields" on my form.
Do you mean add an attribute "image" and set the value to my "picture field" link in my table? I've tried that, but Arc lets you just set a link to a file (.dbf), but not a specific field.
For the check out my idea is to have the shape and the pictures in the same folder...
thanks in advance
Paolo
