Is it possible to locate an object by a baseline?

Is it possible to locate an object in ArcPad by a baseline? Thus I don't want to use the direct GPS based position, but record 2 reference points for a baseline and afterwards, it should be possible to record base points in a 90° angle and to this line by defining the distance to the line. Like this:

Ususally, this is a common workflow but i don't know how to use it in ArcPad.
