Eli,
I just want to confirm that have you installed arcgis desktop 10.2 on your computer? I am afraid it is quite unclear if you are running arcgis desktop 10.2 or not.
If you have installed it, please share the build number. You can follow the steps mentioned below to get the build number: -

hello shan,
Thanks.
how do i launch ArcCatalog ?
Is it part of ArcGIS ?
If not, from where shall i download it ?
thanks
Eli
ArcGIS Desktop suite comprises of ArcCatalog and ArcMap. So, if you have already installed arcgis desktop that means you should have access to both ArcCatalog and ArcMap on your computer.
How to launch ArcCatalog/ArcMap
Go to Windows Start.
Hope this help!

I am sending you screen shot of my "Start" command,
and another Screen shot of my maun folder.

Eli,
I am afraid that is not the screenshot that I had requested.
Start arcmap and follow the steps mentioned in How to check the version and build number of ArcMap or ArcCatalog ESRI? - YouTube
~Shan
Good day shon,
I know what you are looking for. I cannot send it, because ArcMAP is not
mentioned at all on my computer.
I sent screenshot of my "srart" to show you that arcmap is not mentioned at
all.
It is meither mentioned under C:programs/ .....
The only application that i can run is either ArvGIS,or ArcPAd.
Tjanks Eli

Hi Eli,
You need to review ArcPad Help as it states you need to have arcgis desktop installed on your machine.
~Shan
Hello Shan,
Thanks. I have reviewed ArcPAd Help and found out that ArcPad Data Manger
is ( regullary) installed among other tools during the process of ArcPad
installation.
The problem is, as I stated at the begining, that altough ArcGIS 10.2 is
installed on my desktop, and is running without any problem, during the
installation of ArcPad, i got a warning message saying that ArcGIS is not
installed on my machine and therefor, some ArcPad Tollbox may not be
properly installed.
I am trying to understand what may be the reason, that althouge ArcGUS is
installed' The installation procedure dose not find it.
Thanks Eli.
