How to correct GPS data in ArcPad 7.1.1 on Juno 3B

Hi,
I have a new Trimble Juno3B running on Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 Professional. We ordered it without installed software, since our university has licenses for ArcPad and GPSCorrect. But now I have run into trouble: Our site license is for ArcPad 7.1.1, which works fine on the Juno. BUT, there is no version of GPSCorrect that is compatible with both ArcPad 7.1.1 and with Windows Embedded 6.5. So I can't install GPSCorrect. Is there a way to (a) postprocess GPS data collected with ArcPad ONLY (no GPSCorrect), or (b) another option besides GPSCorrect to correct data collected in ArcPad or (c) a way to work around the compatibility problem and get GPSCorrect functioning with my system? I would like our GPS readings (they are for individual trees) to be within 1-3 meters accuracy, so I need to have some kind of correction.
Many thanks for any ideas!

Hola,

I have been reviewing Trimble??s website regarding your questions. I was able to locate where GPSCorrect 3.10 should work for the version of ArcPad and version of Windows Mobile. I am including the version and section from Trimble??s site where they document this. Gracias!
Buena Suerta!

Trimble??s GPScorrect version 3.10
GPScorrect version 3.10 requires ArcPad version 7.1 or later. GPScorrect version 3.10 does not support earlier versions of ArcPad. ArcPad must be installed onto your PC or Windows Mobile device before you install the v3.10 GPScorrect extension.

A GPScorrect extension installation code can only be activated on one Windows Mobile (version 5.0 or 6) powered device at a time.

Hi Juan, Thanks so much for looking into it! I'm afraid you may be thinking of Windows Mobile rather than Windows Embedded Handheld, though. Is that right?

There's a product compatibility matrix here http://trl.trimble.com/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-160913/MGIS_SprtNote_Product_Compatibility_17041... which suggests that I am indeed out of luck: Only GPSCorrect 3.4 will work with Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5; however, that version of GPSCorrect will not work with ArcPad 7.1.1.

So I think my original question about workarounds or alternatives for correcting data collected in ArcPad still stands.

thanks!

Hola Elsa,

Yes, I was in thinking and researching for you with using Windows Mobile and not a Windows Embedded Handheld, since this is what we mainly work with within support and work with. You are correct then in your initial suspect, at least in the research I have done, unless someone from Trimble posts some alternative for you. Buena Suerte, Gracias Elsa!
