I have ArcPad 10 installed on a Trimble GeoXT 6000 series. Export all my data from ArcMap using ArcPad Data Manager. Some are axf files and some are background shp. It is just too slow. I tried a few things, like taking some of the background layers out, even taking some of the axf layers and it is just too slow. If I have all my backgound layers it works good but as soon as I activate the axf files it just slow and a mem error comes up. First I thought it was an Aerial Photo (Mr.Sid) but after doing some testing the problem is in the axf file because the aerial with all the backgound layers works great. The axf is blank and it is just the schema. Any ideas or suggestions??

Thanks

Tomas,

Is this single or multiple AXF files? How many layers in each AXF? How many fields/colums in typical layer? Do layers contain domains and subtypes? This type of question is better suited for Esri Support and if you are current in ArcPad maintenance, I recommend submitting your question to Esri Support so that you can work with an ArcPad specialist to help troubleshoot the observed AXF behavior.

Cheers,
Denise
