Hi

I recently purchased a Trimble Juno 3B with ArcPad 10.2 on it and I run ArcGIS 10.3 on my laptop and I cant figure out how to get the ArcPad data manager extension to show up on ArcGIS so that I can export data from ArcGIS to my ArcPad. Any help or recommendations?

Thank you

Did you install ArcGIS after installing ArcPad? I have found that going in this order makes me lose the extension. The solution to this is uninstall ArcPad and then reinstall it.

If that is not the case then try the suggestion listed at this page:

38344 - ArcPad Data Manager extension is not visible in ArcMap 10

This is the description of the above link:

"After installing ArcPad 7.1.1 or 8.0 with ArcGIS Desktop 10, the ArcPad Data Manager extension is not visible in ArcMap. If ArcPad 10.0 is installed prior to ArcGIS 10.0, the Data Manager will also not appear."

Hi Adrian

Thank you for the response, I have tried that link, but I consistently get

errors such as these

I have Windows 7 and a 64 bit system, and I right click to "run as

administrator" when running the command prompt. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

Dave

And make sure to read thru the comments.  The two lines need to be entered as one line, no hard return in between.  For example, I just ran it for ArcPad 7.1 on 64-bit

"c:\program files (x86)\common files\arcgis\bin\esriregasm.exe" "c:\program files (x86)\arcpad 7.1\desktop tools\arcpadtoolsgen2.dll"

I can now see the ArcPad Manager....not sure if it is working yet (but will need to test is next week)

I actually got it to work by following Dan's advice and finding the ArcPad toolbox in the program files.  I then added it directly to the toolbox in ArcGIS by opening ArcToolbox and right clicking to "Add toolbox".  It worked great!  Thanks for all the help!
