Analyzing installed AddIns

Dear List

Is there a way to analyze the locally installed AddIns? I would like to iterate over all installed AddIns and to add specific menus from specific AddIns to a MultiItem. In this way I could create a dynamically build menu, based on the AddIns installed.

I could imagine a similar access, bout through ArcObjects, as the ???Customize -> Add-In Manger ?????? of ArcMap:

  • Iterate over all installed Add-Ins

  • Iterate over the published Types of an AddIn

  • Using a specific Type (e.g. Menus -> menu)

Does somebody knows if this would / could work? Happy for any hint.

Best regards,
Yvo

I'm looking for similar information.  I'm trying to dynamically build a Toolbar, but I can't seem to access the Toolbar itself.  Please see this thread:

Also, another use has a related question about deactivating Add-In tooin this thread:

I'll be following this thread for some kind of reponse!
