We have been using this system since 2004 to support our own grid format in ArcGIS Desktop. This is not ArcObjects stuff and the documentation has not been updated in a long long time. Nonetheless, we have been able to make it work up to now, but a quick look at the directories in common files and the other desktop directories as well as the registry keys make it look like the whole system has been removed.
Is there any guidelines in how to make this work in 10, even if we need to rewrite the dll? Our clients have many MXDs that references these raster datasets and it will be crucial to us to continue support for this.
