ArcGIS Destop 10.8.0 not working after re-installation.

Hello,

 

I am having an issue with ArcGIS Desktop 10.8 (Basic - Single Use) after re-installing it on a new user profile (on the same computer) following a clean re-install of Windows 10 Pro. ArcCatalog works just fine but ArcMap 10.8 and ArcScene 10.8 both close automatically after Initializing License and Initializing Application. 

 

Solutions I have tried:

a. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Python\PythonCore\2.7-3.2

b. Set default printer

c. Edit ESRI to ESRI-old (along with the files in the folder) to accommodate the new ESRI folder 

d. Disable Antivirus and Firewall

e. Uninstalled Python 2.7 and re-installed Python through Modify ArcGIS Installation (e.g. this feature will not be available under Python)

f. Repaired the ArcGIS installation

 

Nothing is working at the moment. I would be grateful if you could offer tips and solutions.

Did you install Oracle 64 bit client?

Perhaps you could try going straight to 10.8.2

some times the .0 versions have bugs that are patched at .1 and or .2
