Synchronize with layer visibilities Attribute Table widget columns not showing

I turned on Synchronize with layer visibilities in the Attribute Table widget, but the first column of my table isn't showing. When I go to edit it, it's checked. It shows when I turn the sync button off. 

With sync on (In order to edit which fields show you have to turn sync off then turn it back on which is just stupid)

With sync off this shows:

 Any way to fix?
