Screen Widget not responding in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder - ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4

I’m currently running ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 and am experiencing an issue with the Screening widget in my Web AppBuilder. Specifically, I’m unable to configure the widget—it remains unresponsive. After I click to add the widget and navigate to the Analysis tab, when I attempt to add layers, nothing happens.

I’ve been using this widget in my Web AppBuilder for years without any issues, but this morning when I tried to work on it, the widget stalled. I thought it might need to be reconfigured, but when I attempted to do so, it remained unresponsive. Interestingly, the widget works fine in ArcGIS Online, but not in my Enterprise environment.

Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dear GIS Friends,

I hope you're all doing well. I’ve identified the issue, but I need some assistance in resolving it. As you may recall, the 'Regrid_Nationwide_Parcel_Boundaries_v1' layer that Esri introduced to us this past summer is the reason why the Screening widget does not function properly when that layer is added to the map.

Could I kindly ask for your help in getting this to work?

I am also facing the same issue but in Enterprise 11.1.

This issue is still present in 11.5 Enterprise Deployment as well. @AbiDhakal Has there been any other resolution to get this to work?

I was able to isolate the issue that was causing problems in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 with my Web AppBuilder (WAB) application and the Screening widget.

After some testing, I found that the following NOAA REST service was triggering the issue:

https://gis.charttools.noaa.gov/arcgis/rest/services/MCS/NOAAChartDisplay/MapServer/exts/MaritimeCha...

Once I removed this layer from the web map, the Screening Widget immediately started working again.

I'm not sure exactly what about this NOAA service is causing the problem, but a few possibilities come to mind:

• It is standard map service vs. feature layers
• The service may be running on an older ArcGIS Enterprise version (10.9.x).
• The layer structure contains grouped or nested layers that the widget may not handle correctly.

I also noticed that I couldn't add the service back into the application using the Add Data widget. As soon as the layer is added to the web app, the Screening widget locks up and becomes unusable.

I wanted to share this finding in case others are experiencing similar issues with Enterprise 11.5, Web AppBuilder, or the Screening widget.

If you're troubleshooting the Screening widget that suddenly stops working, it may be worth reviewing any specialized map services included in your webmap table of contents (layer list). Hope this help the next person out.
