"Sign in to access the item"

I get the following popup when trying to access an app created on WAB but hosted on our server... "Please sign in to access the item on ArcGIS Online..." The AGOL map is not public but we would like to keep it that way and it doesn't work even if you are signed in on AGOL. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Brain,

If you register it on one machine and then deploy it to another machine then you have to register it again on the new machine.

Have you registered the app with portal on the machine that you have the app deployed to?

Yes, it's been registered with AGOL.

The map is probably not shared.

Login to portal/online and share it with the groups/users you have defined there.

This worked for me!

Didn't think I had to share it with my organization as I was downloading and hosting the app locally but apparently I was wrong... can't wait to get our own portal in so I can remove this step!
