Login Screen for the Flexviewer

Just posted some code for a Flexviewer login screen.  I hope somebody can get some use from this.

I checked and the entire ArcGIS_Security folder has read/write extended to IUSRS account.

Can you post up your ViewerContainer.mxml and users.xml

Derek,

Do you have an ArcGIS web adapter running?  When I added the ArcGIS_Security folder to wwwroot and converted it to an application in IIS8.0 (also running winSvr2012), I had to make sure I changed the "app pool" to point to the web adapter in the pull down menu.  If I didn't do that, I would get the "internal server error", but after changing it, everything worked fine.

Hi All,

These posts are quite old. Since then has anyone come up with a security widget for the compiled version of the viewer? Or another work around to implement security into a compiled application?

Hi there,

I integrated this login widget into Flex Viewer 3.2.  I could log in successfully (by checking the site usage log file), no error message occurred.  But I got a completey blank page, no map showing up at all.  Could you please point me out what the problem it might be?  Anything wrong with Config.xml or ViewerContainer.mxml?  I have no idea what's going on.

Thank you Magaly.  I did modify the ViewerContainer.mxml by inserting the workaround code, but still no luck.  Still got a blank page.

Is there a way the browser or something can remember my login username and/or password so that I don�??t have to enter it every time I open my website? Maybe like a "remember me on this computer?" with a checkbox.

Hi, i know its far too late...

I want to protect access to my Flex apps. The link below is not valid anymore (or do i have to have subscription..?) cos i get "http://www.arcgis.com/home/error.html?c=AccessDeniedResource" response when i access this link...

Can anybody  here help me to implement login screen for my flex application ?

Here is what i have:
- its a local application
- IIS
- i use Arcgis Viewer for Flex 3.5 Application Builder (no source code version)
- ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 or 10.2 (yup, i have 2 arcgis servers)
