Good morning,

I'm currently working with the Enhanced Search Widget v2.5.1.7f for FlexViewer 2.5 (http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5d4995ccdb99429185dfd8d8fb2a513e) and everything works great except for the results grid at the bottom of the viewer.

I should preface by saying that we're using a proxy to bring in secured services. (I'm not sure if that has an impact on this situation or not.) I'm using the compiled version and have followed instructions that came with the widget download. I can get results when I do a search, but the results don't show up in the results grid at the bottom of my viewer (although the results grid is visible, just empty). I've tried numerous things to resolve this but have yet to figure out what the problem is. I've tried pulling the services in as a MapServer and as a FeatureServer thinking maybe that was the snag, but it wasn't.

Any ideas where the hang-up might be? This is such a wonderful widget that I hate to miss out on the export functionality that's available through the results grid.

Thanks a million!!

Ashlee,

Are you using ArcGIS Server 10?  That's what the widget requires I believe.  Also, you may want to ask your question in the Flex Viewer forum whether than just the API and see if you have more luck.  But I couldn't tell you other than that what's going on with the widget.  Robert Scheitlin created it so he may be able to help since he's the Flex Jedi Master.  I haven't seen him on the forums here lately though.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, we are currently using ArcGIS Server 10. I'm completely stumped as to why I can't get the results grid to work. Thanks for the tip on posting this issue in the Flex Viewer forums, also...I'll definitely give that a try, too. I saw that Robert closed the original thread that had been used for all the issues with this widget, so I'm hoping I can catch his eye through a new forum post. Guess we'll see what happens!

Thanks again!

Did you specify gridfield="true" in your .xml for you search widget?
Like this:

<field name="TEL" alias="Phone" gridfield="true"/>

That fixed it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had the

<field="..." alias="..."/>

but not

gridfield="true"

...that's where my snag was.

Good eye!

Thanks a million!
